Noise from rear

Messagepar Plex » 22 Août 2007, 06:52

Hello

I hear strange noises, when turning while passing bumps. It's sounds like, it's somewhere from the rear...

Anyone who knows what it might be?

Mine has developed a banging noise at the rear when going over speed bumps...it was only when I took off from a junction, but now it does it more often....hard to describe but it sounds like something is bouncign up & down at the back...took it to my dealer & they put it up on the ramp but couldn;t find anything loose...god knows what it is!

Check the compartiment where the spare wheel is located.
Perhaps something is loose.

It's sound like something from the suspension - maybe the springs? My car is going for 1 year service very soon, so I hope Peugeot can fix it ;)

sorry, I still can't figure.
My car also makes many different noises...
there is sometimes a high scrachting noise from the door of the glove box.
But this is dependent on temperature it seems.

I can also hear some hit noise from rear, but I think it is due to some stuff I'm traveling with,
and from the wheelwrnch which is below the luggage compartment, near to the spare wheel.

lol I always forget to check and to remove the things, and then I always wonder which noise there is while driving ;)

From the suspension, I think I have no noise.
But, there is no car that doesn't make any noise, except at stand still :lmfao:

Thanks to another 207 driver, I got the problem solved :)

It was the trunk locker, that needed some grease...

You don´t need a photo. It´s just the lock that needs lubrication.

There is a known problem with the tailgate striker on the 207's...may need to go back to your dealer to get problem fixed as you need certain tools & it isn't exactly easy to get at! Mine was making this noise when going round corners

Had my 207GTI booked in with the main dealer because of a noise coming from the back. It was hard to tell where it was coming from and it did not make it when on a smooth road. I could not find anything loose or moving about. Found out it was coming from the real tailgate, the dealer was going to strip it down, I am not sure if this would of been done under the warranty but a friend of mine told me to lubricate the lock/catch, probely saved myself a lot of money it worked.

Common "problem" on 207

Messagepar anmith » 03 Octobre 2008, 21:25

After driving mine for 1 year I got the same noice as you describe! The garage fixed it easy on the warranty! Just some adjustment to the baggage door lock! This was the first problem on my 207 RC so far! :sol:
