HDI 110 1st 1000mile service

Anyone know what they actually do for this service? It only took them 20 mins.

Hi Matt,

Well if it was anything like my 1000 mile service, they walked around the car, checked there where 4 wheels, spilt oil on the engine and topped up the washer bottle. They are supposed to carry out a full saftey check, with the car on a ramp to inspect drive shafts, brakes etc. But dont hold your breath, my dealer service is useless.

I truly thought that the hdi 1000 mile service was to drain the oil and replace with new oil to remove metal particle contamination.

i have no idea if this actually got done.

How can I find out?

Hello.

On the first page of your 'maintenance record' it should explain what the first service is for.

Mine (for GT HDI 110) says:

Top up engine oil, manual gearbox, engine coolant, screenwash, brake fluid, power steering fluid.
Bleed fuel filter (diesel).
Check condition of rubber boots and gaitors, condition and pressure of all 5 tyres, operation of lights, emission control and smoke opacity.

This is my third new Peugeot now, and the 1000 mile service has been the same for them all.
