Extra exhaust noise - GT HDI 110

Hello.

I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced any extra vibration from the exhaust of their HDI 110?

Mine has done 3000 miles now, and I've experienced some vibration from the exhaust on at least 2 or 3 occasions. I can only describe this as being similar to the sound you might hear if the exhaust was very slightly loose.

Took it to my garage first time, and they found no fault. Took it again last week, and they have suggested that perhaps the extra noise (and smell) could be linked to the particle filter doing its work?

Garage are checking with Peugeot apparently, but the diagnosis does seem plausible. Has anyone else noticed anything similar?

I have heard a similar noise when revving hard, the engine note changes at higher revs and it sounds more harsh / rattly. maybe this is not the same thing though ?

Hello.

No, mine sounds nice when revved actually. The noise I have heard is when the engine is idling. It's only ever done it a couple of times now.
