I just got my new 207 110hdi, I have done only 100 miles so far.
How should I treat the engine at the beginning and when will it give its best performance after (3000miles ??)
I am interested in chipping the car to 140bhp.

Welcome.
For the first miles, some say that there is no need to by careful at the begining, some say that this is important.
Honestly, I think this is essential to have a healthy engine for the rest of its life.
Here is my technique for the first miles (I will use kilometers)
0 -> 1000 km 2500 rpm max
1000 -> 2000 km 3000 rpm max
and each 1000 km, you increase this value by 500 rpm.
In french, this period of time where you watch your engine is called "rodage" I think that you would call this "grinding"

In fact, the tests have been made on a Golf TDi 140, which has been chipped to 160-177 HP and 415Nm.
The turbo runs faster, output gas is much warmer, ant the diesel particles can be wet. It destroys the turbo and the particle filter. Then the result can be catastrophic.
Well, on the HDi 110 FAP it can be the same problem of course. But maybe with lower tuning (124 HP, 275Nm), it can be much safer.
See on:

(sorry it's in german too)
But this is a Peugeot-Citroen specialist since a long time ago. And as you see, they deliver "only" 14HP more, but I think there is a good reason...

I already wrote a Mail to property man because of its Chiptuning. He means it 16HP at the wheel borders however the temperature worth would not exceed. It knows this problem probably already and does not tunt therefore also more highly.

Then you mean that they limited the extra-power because it's much safer! And for the gearbox too...
Have you got some feedback of Gutmann's customers?
Danke!

Falls me on English somewhat heavily... But you know also German * gg * Thus it wrote which it consciously not so highly tunt because it the problem admits seih. Property man takes over 2 years full warranty and will if one him calls gladly more as its PBox to explain:)

Kein Problem, das nächste Mal kann ich übersetzen wenn Du möchtest (bin in Oberbayern

Ok, then if this company knows the problem that a too high powered HDi can give in the future, I prefer have only 15HP more only... 125Hp is not bad, and safe...
Thanx!
