I have the 110 GT diesel and I cannot seem to get enough power to wheelspin in any gear, even with ESP off !
is this normal ? my 115bhp golf could spin the wheels in 1st and 2nd there was that much torque!

Why would you want to?
The ESP automatically reactivates if the speed is higher than 50km/h. Even if it is only the wheels spinning at that speed.
There should definately be enough power to spin the wheels. It really doesn´t take that much to break the traction.

Mine does it (1st and 2nd), but the ESP immediately avoid it. Much better like that!

You will thank this ass saving system when you don't hit something.
Sometimes my 207 drifts when I drive it hard on the track. But as this ESP has a fantastic package of the BOSCH ASR, DSC. I am able to stay on course everytime. And the traction control has saved me from crashing into others while I drive on slippery wet cement surfaces.
If you wanna burn rubber, simply torch the tyre. The effects are better.
