Retrofitting directional lighting?

Messagepar Jesper Dalsgaard » 13 Novembre 2006, 12:25

Does anybody know if it is possible to fit directional headlights on a 207 originally manufactured without directional headlights?

The headlamp itself is different, but is there any difference in the wiring? And does anyone know for sure if the function can be activated in the BSI?

I am really kicking myself for not choosing this option, so now i´m trying to see if there is a way to do it post-production.

there must be some electronics linked to the steering as well. I'd imagine this would be difficult to retrofit.

I find it useful on very dark country roads but in town its not much use.

The same electronics are used to let the ESP know which way the steering wheel is pointed, so maybe it is just a case of switching the lamps themselves and configuring the BSI.

My biggest regret is missing out on the DE-lenses, making it impossible to fit xenons with a good result.
