Delivery problems - GT has arrived

I ordred a 207 GT HDi, black, in end of May. First the production period was set to second week in July, but now it´s changed to 21 of August. Anyone else with the same problem?

Some say the problem is due to the lack of engines. They are so popular...

Thus in Germany it is exactly the same... I had still luck! A friend ordered and had 2 weeks later 12 weeks to wait :eek:

In another forum reports one of 21 weeks delivery time for its 5 tuerer Platinum 1,6HDI !!

My dealer did not say that the demand allegedly so largely that those simply fast to enough producing can....
Only whether the statement is not correct in such a way white I ^o)

I think it arrive in the model version and the additive equipment like for a long time one to wait must. HDI's platinum around have longer delivery times than a Tendance in Germany at least e.g.

I have the same problem eppel!
I did order my 207 middle May and I hope to reach it first or 2nd week of August.

I do not know problems with engines you talked above...Last news about delay I got are about manufacturing & production...orders are being massive and only 3 factories are working for 207 production (Madrid-Spain, France & Czech Rep.)

good luck on waiting time...

Ahoy!

Delivery problems here too. I ordered my 207 in June and they told me the car will be delivered in October and sorry, but I was pissed off. I am inpatient which means I act like a child: if I want something I want it NOW :lol:

Anyway, I asked the representative if any 207 were to be delivered in July and werent clients orders. Indeed he did find a few which were ordered by Peugeot in Greece (Lion Hellas actually) so I chose my 207 from them.

Today the representative called that the car arrives in Greece tommorrow so hopefully I will get my car by 10 of August!! Hoo-ray!

I could also choose from storage her in Norway, but they don´t have GT´s, just a few XS/XS Pack (Sport/Sport Pack). But none of them has the "right" color and equipment. I could choose X-Line (Trendy), but that is far away from the GT I actually ordred. So I think I have to wait, wait and wait for the black GT I ordred 2 months ago..

I know eppel, I understand.

Actually I wanted a 1400cc Manitoba Executive Pack and in stock they did have only a Blue montebelo 1400cc Executive (nopack). So I upgraded my order for a 1600cc and I did found a Gris Cendre Executive Pack... The color isnt what I asked for but later on I realized I like it better than the manitoba. As for the 1600cc, I guess this is for good. The price difference is little so indeed it was also kind-of-wrong to buy the 1400cc version. So I guess for me everything went for a good conclusion.

I am so happy the car arrives tommorrow in Greece. I just hope that the greek authorities will work as they should and they will provide the papers needed to get the car on time for summer vacation!

Hi there!
I've had th same problem. I've ordered my 207 (with some optionals like RT3 + JBL system and Hockenheim wheels..) on 13 May. My representative said that the car has to be available on the middl of June... But than on the system appears 23 July as term of delivery! :eek:

Fortunately I've got my 207 a couple of weeks ago..

I ordered a black 207 GT on 8 June and the delivery was on 25 July. One and a half month of painful waiting.

It came from Spain acording to the label in the door.

The dealer hasen´t got any chassis number yet. Does that mean that the car hasen´t been produced?

I´m frustrated... 3 months now since I ordred it.

Today I talked to the dealer. No chassisnumber has turned up, and car hasen´t been produced.

First the production date was set to week two in July. Then the factory took vacation, and set the production date to 21st of August. It´s not been built yet. On Monday the salesman is gonna talk to the National importer.

The problem seems not to be the lack of engines. One car which was not GT, but had the same engine, was ordred in July, and had already left the factory.

What´s Peugeot doing?!

I don´t know for sure, but I think from France. The cars are shipped from Kiel to Norway by boat.

Talked to the dealer, and they talked to the national dealer. They said that the car perhaps would be produced today, but I´m not sure if believe them..

Talked to another 207 GT-buyer from Norway. He ordred his car in the begining of June and the car was delivered in the begining of August. Unfair

The car was orange.. He had also chipped it to 143 hp/310 Nm.

You´re lucky Plex. My car is built, and the dealer tells me that I´m least going to have the car by the end of the month.

My last car was a 307, and that car arrived after 18 days, and that was around Christmas. I hope the 207 will be "faster"!
