Fitting an aftermarket navi unit.

I´ve tried posting this in the English section, but without much luck. Hope some of you have some input.

Has any of you had any experience fitting aftermarket HU´s in your 207? I have ordered my 207 without the RD4, så there is no problem operating the boardcomputer.

I have been told that the speed signal, reversing signal, illuminationsignal and switched positiv, are can bus signals, and therefore cannot be read by a non standard radio. Is this correct, and du you know of any workarounds?

I have seen that there are some posts in the French foras, but it´s all yibberish to me...

J'ai essayé de signaler ceci dans la section anglaise, mais sans beaucoup de chance. Espoir il ont une certaine entrée Y en a-t-il qui a eu le marché des accessoires un HU convenable d'expérience dans vos 207 ? J'ai commandé mes 207 sans RD4, så là n'est aucun problème actionnant le boardcomputer. J'ai été dit que le signal de vitesse, renversant le signal, l'illuminationsignal et le positiv commuté, sont peut transporter des signaux, et ne peut pas donc être lu par une radio non standard. Ce correct, et du que vous savez est-il de tous les workarounds ? J'ai vu qu'il y a quelques poteaux dans les foras français, mais c'est tout le yibberish à moi... Merci à l'avance.

On m'a dit que le signal de vitesse, le signal de marche arrière, les signaux de feux et [switched positiv], sont des signaux du bus CAN, et donc ne peuvent être interprétées par une radio non standard. Est-ce vrai, et avez vous [workarounds]

If someone else understand that, it would help.

Aftermarket HU = A head unit to be retrofitted to the vehicle, in this case a cd-radio with build-in navi.

to be able to install a aftermarket radio you have to order partnumber 9475 38, that has a lead for the quadlok to ISO and for the antenna connection.

only make sure you connect the switched 12v to a real switched one and not the one mentioned in the install manual.

when you pick up the other signals near the rear light unit, it shouldn't give no problems with mux in the car

I have ordered the car without a radio, well there is a radio, due to tax-laws, but its just a crappy China-thing, which is just there to satisfy the insane Danish government. In Germany, if you order the car without radio, it comes prepared for the fitting of a non-OE radio, so i´m hoping the same goes for the one i´ve ordered.

I figured I had to get the signal from the wire by the BSI, I was just hoping I wouldn´t have to.
