Poor radio reception with new radio

Hello

I've got my old RD4 (VDO/Siemens) changed to a new RD4 (Blaupunkt) with MP3. Now the radio reception is very poor

The new RD4 has a twin tuner, but my car is only with one antenna cable. Is this the reason why, it's so poor?

I'm considering to have my old radio back - because this one was so good

it shouldnt really make that much difference.

but did they set the settings right with the new RD4?
so instead of double antenna a signal antenna

With the new radio, I hardtly can find any stations without noise

Is there a setting for single or double antenna?

The double antenna is a GSM/radio antenna, it doesn´t need 2 antennas for its double tuner. I´m guessing they forgot to connect the antenna when they changed the radio.

En dobbelt tuner kræver mig bekendt en diversity antenne, og det er der ikke standart på S16. Self. har jeg kontrolleret, om antennekablet sidder rigtigt i, og det gør det.

Dobbelt tuner har intet med gsm at gøre...

En eftermonteret radio kan godt have dobbeltuner, og kræver ikke nogen speciel antenne. Dobbeltunerens funktion er at den ene tuner hele tiden scanner FM-båndet efter et bedre signal og træder i funktion, hvis den finder et stærkere signal, med samme RDS-kode som den station man hører.

Vi er enige om at det ikke har med GSM at gøre. Det jeg prøvede på at formulere på engelsk var at antennen i modeller med indbygget telefon, har indbygget GSM-antenne. Hvad en diversityantenne er, må jeg erkende jeg er blank for. Hvad betyder det?

Det var ellers ikke uhørt at en forhanler kunne glemme at sætte sådant et stik i...

Are you sure, there is an option for single and one for dual antenna?

I asked Peugeot today, and they don't know a shit...

Is the 207 born with an active antenna, with supply voltage?

Hello

Today I visited Peugeot, for inspection. Everything was set correctly - there was an option for 1 or 2 antennas.

So I have installed my old radio again - with great radio reception, but no MP3 :-?

The solution is an Ipod in the glove compartment, controlled by the stearing control 8-)
