Good place to grap 12v

I've installed an active holder for my gps/pda solution. This holder uses about 380mA while charging or 8mA when not charging.

Is't okay to grap the 12v supply in the radio plug, or do I need to find it another place?

Hi Plex,

I would take the supply from the cigar lighter, the radio has 2 supplies and has some sort of timing circuit, also I would take the feed through an in-line fuse, the cigar lighter has quite a high rated fuse.

The Cigar lighter sounds like a good idea, but where can I easily find those wires?

Can I find them behind the radio?
