Messagepar kimbone » 22 Janvier 2007, 12:57

Hello to everyone!I know that this is a French forum but I know only Italian and English and this is the biggest forum about 207 I know.....and I'm sure that you can help me....I'm from Italy and maybe (finally) I have to take home my brand new 207 xs 1.4 16v...When the car arrived I visited it and and there were 49 Km on..... I want to know if this is really a problem and also want to know how many Km had your cars when you take it home.......
I think that 49 Km are pretty much......
What do you think about?

Thankssssss!!!

hi and congratulations to your new 207.
well i had only 1km when i took it for the first time. Maybe it depends how much travel they made ( moved it alot in the parking area of the factory, the dealer shop). Ask the dealer if they didn't use your car for some try-outs for other potentiel buyers ( normaly it is not allowed !)

Don't wory, every car is reset to 0 km just before departure of the plant. May be your 207 as not be reseted or it pass the super control to check everything on it and if the car has more than 100 km it can't be reset to 0 (I'm not sure for these limit). That means you should have less problem with your 207 than the other.

PS. This post should be move to the english topic

I think that the car was tested. You should ask the question has your garage Peugeot to know...

I am not absolutely sure about Peugeot, but I have heard that on Ford factories they have procedure called "consumer quality test" (or something like this). They randomly choose a car (let's say 1 out of 1000) and perform a road test (on special track) to make sure that there are no noises, rattling, that car steers well, that everything's on its place and so on and so forth.

So, your car maight have been chosen for such test. And that means that it must be absolutely tested and percfect.

Although, there's still a chance that some dealer's staff took it for a ride :sol:
