changing P 207 autoradio
Hello everyone!
I would be very greatful to anyone who would be so kind to help me and answer my questions.
I have P 207 and autoradio RD4 which I would like to replace. According to Alpine internet site (with some head units and APF-D101 PS cable) it is possible to have CD text and radio information shown on P 207 display. Steering wheel remote control is also possible. What happens with on board travel computer and other peugeot information? On the 207's RD4 head unit are buttons label 'menu' 'OK' and 'ESC' which drive some basic functions on the car, like changing the time, trip computer setting etc. Will I lose this functions?
Does anybody have expirience with this?

hello
Changing the RD4 with another radio can have some consequences, like loosing the control of the onboard computer ( like simply changing the time).
If you understand french, there are topics talking about changing the peugeot autoradio.

Peugeot has other radios ( Pionneer I think) in their accessories, maybe they are more compatible with the controls of the onboard computer.
Other people had found a accessory with the bottons ( menu - ok - esc ) and they mount it somewhere near the handbrake.

Hi
You can always change your cd player with another from alpine brand witout a problem. When you connect the right adaptor you can manage your car menu from the steering wheel control buttons. The only thing that you have to consider is to buy a unit with visual out for viewing the info from your main screen.Such a unit is CDA-9883,CDA-9885R,CDA-9886R,CDA-9887R,IVA-W202R,IVA-W205R and IVA-D310R/RB.All those units have the mode ''VEHICLE DISPLAY INTERFACE''that makes them compatible for what you want to do.
For example i have the IVA-W202R to my 207Gt

Thanks.
Because this is my job i can tell that this car is very easy to everything you want to do.What i can tell for sure is that there is a big difference between the original rd4 and another unit from alpine.I also change the original speakers with the SPR-17S from alpine and sound is dramaticaly better.
Here are some photos from rear speakers
and front

anmith a écrit:Hi Sotiris, where did you get the Turbo meter and what brand?
I really don't remember the webpage.Somewhere from UK i think gti tuning or something like that. The meter is from defi and is a bit expensive but is the best meter on the market+that you can connected to the original car wire for the boost signal.
The meter and the control unit(but you can add 5 meters)cost about 400€

I believed it was a Clarion!?
Siemens VDO

I'm addicted to alpine brand and what ever.Never had a problem and never will i think.+the connectivity that allow you to do everything.
I have a store here in the island 6 years now and i'm doing this job since 1988 and i can tell you for sure that is the best brand on the market. The only problem is tha it is a bit expensive but this seems to go away from this year and so on

Hello,
I have bought a CD Changer to my RD4 and a hands-free bluetooth kit. Do I need to go to the Peugeot dealer for installation (to do the activation) or is it possible to disconnect the radio without any consequences?
Thanks for the help.
Regards,
Marcin

BE CAREFULL THAT CONNECTION IS WRONG
We have to connected using an adaptor from alta http://www.altaperformance.com/products ... Boost-Port
I took that boost port just before 3 days and saw the difference.
I saw in my car 1.0 bar the moment that true intake pressure was 0.7.
Also if you reprogramme your ecu you wil have to expect some function problems as that connection affect the functionality of our original map sensor of the car.
