New 207GT

Hello, I live in Ireland and ordered my 207GT (petrol) last December and was told to expect a delivery date sometime in March! I was told by the dealer that there is a shortage of GT engines due to the same unit being used in the new mini. Does this sound plausible?
As this is my first ever Peugeot (I'm switching from a Hyundai Coupe), I am a little nervous about reliability problems. Apart from checking for faulty electric windows, is there anything else I should look out for?

Hi, I am in the same boat! have to pick-up my diesel next week - will let you know how it goes. I understand that the new petrol GT engine is available from March so I think you were better off waiting.... if you enter google search for petrol 207 GT, you should get some reviews and further info.

The story is the same here in Greece my friends.I'm waiting two months now(from December) for the gt version and i'm happy that my car is arriving in two days.The fact is that what you hear about the engines is true but not for new mini.The engines are for the new 207cc...

Finally picked up my 207 GT 150 today after waiting since last November!
Car is shown in my avatar - I will try and post some better pics later.
My first impressions: I traded from a '04 2.0 Hyundai Coupe, and this car feels way quicker when you put the foot down. I do notice a bit of reluctance to pull at very low revs in second gear, but once over 1400rpm it takes off! Build quality is great inside and lots of the cars features (such as the bi-directional headlamps) can be configured on or off through the in-car menu system! I couldn't get over how warm the turbo was even after an hour after switching off. The worst bit is I can't drive it for a week as I'm off on holidays tomorrow
