Hi all,
I've just spent the entire day working on my trunk with amplifier/carpc.
I've run into a problem - I cannot find an ignition wire (remote, switched 12v) - where can I find this?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards
Kenneth

I found the pindiagram on http://peugeotdata.407forum.nl/data/207.php. From this diagram I can read that the 12v switched remote cable is supposed to be in position 11 in the quadlock-connector for the radio, however, there is no wire in pin 11 in my car
Any suggestions?

Hi,
I measured once again 10mins ago:
- Pin 11 (brown wire) is the +12V switched (radio switch, low power). A +12V is present only if the radio is on, even if the car's contact is off.
- Pin 12 (white wire) is the +12V permanent (high power)
- Pin 15 (grey wire) is the +12V switched (car switch, low power). A +12V is present if the car's contact is on, independently of the radio status.
Then, for any audio application (external amplifier, MP3 player power, ...), use the pin 11.
Pin 11 must be present on your RD4, although no wire is connected on it.

Maybe because you don't have the JBL system, the external amplifier is switched from the pin 11.kfuglsang a écrit:... however, there is no wire in pin 11 in my car

But use pin 11 instead of pin 15 (add a wire in the plug).
Because if your car is off, but your radio is on, the amp won't work if you use pin 15!

I don't know where I should route the wire in pin 11 to?
I'm going to remove my RD4-radio and replace it with a car pc which, power-wise, functions like an amplifier that needs a remote cable.
Pin 15 works when I put the car in ignition (engine doesn't have to be running), which is just what I need

Ah ok, if you remove the RD4, you won't have pin 11 anymore.
The +12V radio switch (pin 11) is provided by the RD4 itself (like the antenna supply on after market radios).
