I love your boost gauge, it has the same color and style with the instuments panel.
Have you noticed any difference in performance after you installed the Alta map sensor spacer?
bibo207RC a écrit:I am not sure about difference in performance after boost port installation, maybe a little bit but I am not sure.
But why would it make a difference ? unless if it's leaking ? Do you have any experience with that matter ?
salex a écrit:Since everything is fine performance wise, the spacer should be working ok.
salex a écrit:Plus, the DEFI gauge never worked properly without its own map sensor (as I had pointed to my friends earlier) because the 207 map sensors have a different range and transfer function than the DEFI map sensor.
salex a écrit:No worries.
Chances are you will have very high intake air temperature anyways, specially when you get your RC tuned.
One tuned RC with stock intercooler reached 98degrees Celsius on the dyno today (at 6000rpm, before finishing the dyno run).
Ambient temperature was 13 degrees C. Cold day. When we went on a test drive, it would easily reach 54 degrees C on 4th gear. That is dramatic.
bibo207RC a écrit:So basically an IC prevent the engine from losing power due to higher intake temp. and maintaning it's power rather than increasing the original rated power ?
wolfi a écrit:Very nice![]()
if I had a RC, I would also !

Any pics of the gauge at day ?
(sorry for my english...i was at school....a long time ago lol)
salex a écrit:To increase the engine's power, you need to get higher boost.
But all turbos raise intake air temperature when boost rises.
The higher target horsepower, the larger intercooler you need.
For 175hp the stock ic is more than enough. But for anything over 200hp the stock ic is very small and the power drop will be noticeable in warm weather (>18C).
That is the reason why you get very high intake air temperature, which stops the engine from being efficient. The turbo raises boost, but the stock ic is too small to lower the air temperature effectively.
RC_power a écrit:did bibo do something to the BOV?
that relief sound pssst is quite loud..
or any suggestion to make it louder without using hks products and external manifolds or welding?
