Hello everyone,
Has anyone been asked to take their new 207 back to the dealers after 4-6 weeks or 1000 miles?. My dealer has been in contact reminding me to take my 207 in for this safety check. I am going in this Friday.

how can I tell where it was assembled ?
I think the cracking noise from the windows is a fault. I will be taking it in for them to have a look.
apart from this I've done 5000 miles now with now issues, the engines loosening off nicely too!

Hmmmm Saftey check my a**e. All they did was to check the oil water and screen wash. What a load of rubish. They also removed the 6k voucher, so I guess this is no longer carried out. However I was offered a 12 month check for £50. I dont think so.

hey, chill out man, the 1 month 1k safety check is what has replaced the 6months 6k service. ALL NEW PEUGEOTS ARE LIKE THIS NOW! Your dealer should have told you, 1month/1k free service, then 1yr/10k £50 service then normal 2yr £180 service at 20k! it is to make sure your car is kept in tip top condition AND to make sure the dealer is in regular contact with you. AS for everyones window clickings there are currently 2 problems with the windows, they either click on some cars and this can be fixed at th 1 month service by a clip that goes on the back of the glass in the runner (it's the same fault that 306's had years ago) easy fix and done at 1 month if your car suffers! The other is the window that closes and then reopens an inch at the top, this is the anti pinch mechanism detecting something adrift, get the dealer to check window alignment, fit a clip and lube all window parts that move! Sorted, enjoy your cars!!
